Majestic Cloud Rider Inspiration
This week I had something super exciting happen! I mailed off one of my favorite original art pieces to a friend of mine who requested a custom painting of a lion jumping out of the clouds. It was to match the white horse painting I sold her last year.
I love the image of the lion - majestic, regal and powerful! The presence of this lion carries a peaceful countenance yet emanates power and supreme authority. It was not only fun but moving to paint. It reminds me of Aslan in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe series by CS Lewis. If you haven’t read the books or watched the movies, it will inspire you for sure!
Painting this lion moved my heart to dream and think of heaven. Do you ever think of heaven? What it will be like? Will we just bounce around on soft clouds for eternity? I think God has much more for us than that!
I have always loved to read books and hear testimonies of those who have had heavenly encounters of going to heaven or seeing a vision, or having a dream then tell what they saw. I have never had such an encounter but I can imagine what heaven will be like.
I have heard that heaven is like earth only much more beautiful: richer colors, brighter lights, wonderful fragrances and delicious foods. Just to think that there will be no pain, sickness or evil makes one want to go there. No medicine or doctors, nothing to harm us or scare us, no poverty or lack, no accidents or injuries, only beauty, fun and excitement. I will paint to my hearts content with all the art supplies that a mind can imagine! I imagine my mansion with a huge art studio with lots of room to help others in their art journey. I know we will continue to grow and learn in heaven. What do you want to do when you reach heaven?
I’m sure there are many exciting things to do and to learn! My Dad always told me that he wanted to ride a tornado when he got to heaven. He passed 6 years ago and I miss him, but knowing that he is in heaven riding tornados and doing a lot of incredible fun things makes me happy.
I hear that we will have a glorified body free from pain and aging, no aches or pains from old age. We will return to the days of our youth and live eternally young. I can’t wait to look into a mirror in heaven and see my reflection with no more wrinkles. :) That will be wonderful!
God wants us to anticipate heaven, but he wants us to dream right now and fill the earth with beauty. That is my goal… To fill every canvas I paint on with beauty and a message from heaven. I picture can speak more than a thousand words and move a soul to greater depths of emotion. I believe in the power of art! It influences our lives and has the power to change culture and society.
